- I've been the owner/shaper of Local Hero Surfboards for over 20 years and been surfing for nearly 30 years. I was born and raised here in North Cornwall and have been in and around surfing all my life. Surfing has also taken me around the world with trips to South and North America, South Africa, Europe and the Canary Islands. It's these surf trips combined with my local knowledge that have really helped me understand the needs of both travelling and home based surfers and the waves they surf. Many Top UK riders have ridden my boards to success in national contests over recent years. It's the surfers themselves that have kept me at the cutting edge of today's contemporary shapes.
